    In this paper is focusing a outlining collective research programme consistent with the goal of democratic socialism. It suggests that Gramscian IPE - with its focus on world order, forms of state, and counter-hegemony - supplemented with insights from the work of Rosa Luxemburg regarding conscientization, internationalism and democracy - warrants serious consideration as a candidate for such a programme.
