This essay tries to establish the possibilities of a Left intellectual tendency that attempts the restoration of socialist thought, through the recuperation of the values of political liberalism. In order to do that, it shows how the neglecting of the Marxist language and the emergence of a new Gramsci reading lead to the idea of democracy as a moral & intellectual reform related to the values of political liberalism.
